Perfect solution for water hammers

Any plumber has undoubtedly heard complaints from the customers losing their minds because of the banging noise in their pipes. This mainly happens when they put a faucet off or when the toilet, dishwasher, or washing machine get shuts off. This is mainly because of the water hammer, the build-up of short-term pressure results from the abrupt closure of the solenoid valves. The water hammer alone may not damage the plumbing, by the inappropriate pipe joints or the inadequate supports, the sound may get amplified. With the passing of time, this can cause the breaking of the joints. The main solution to this annoying problem lays with plumbing water hammer arrestors.

Acoustic or silent pipes have a piston present inside the cylinder; the piston starts to move when the pressure surge occurs by compressing the air present inside the cylinder. This evaporates the kinetic energy present inside the surge that keeps the pipes from getting ratted and maintains an even 60 psi. Acoustic pipes are available in various sizes and there is a suitable product for all types of applications.

Maintenance and Installation

Acoustic Pipes can be installed easily. For the washing machines, you just need to screw it over the male connector where the right side goes up and the upside goes sideways or down. In the case of dishwashers or any other appliance, compression fittings are to be used. The arrestors are required to be installed as close as possible towards the fixture that is making noise. Once Plumbing Water Hammer Arrestors are installed, no maintenance is required. But if still any banging noise is found, attention needs to be provided to the pipes. They must be monitored to see if there are enough straps to hold them in place. If required, more can be added. Further, the movement of the pipe will get restricted due to the use of clips and the tape of the plumber. Users must be careful to utilize steel or galvanized straps over copper pipes. Their corrosion can happen due to the reaction with the material. When the pipes pass through walls then ensure that the holes present around them are filled with foam for keeping them from getting rattled. Due to high water pressure, banging of pipes can also happen. Too much pressure is harmful and it can damage the appliances too. If that exceeds 100 psi then it can void the warranty of the customer and beyond 150 will start the leakage of the water.

Water hammer is a very annoying problem faced by various residential customers and their problem can be easily taken care of with plumbing water hammer arrestors

The Powerful Combo of Climate Control & Fertigation Systems for Greenhouse Farming

Greenhouse farming has transformed agriculture as it has made something impossible very much possible. We are talking about how this modern-day system has been able to grow crops year-round in providing a controlled environment .  However, as the demand for higher yields and sustainable practices increases, growers are looking for smarter solutions to enhance productivity. Integrated climate control system and fertigation solutions are proving to be powerful solutions in regards to this. Using them offers precision, efficiency, and better crop quality. Let’s get into the topic to understand them better. What Are Integrated Climate Control and Fertigation Systems? Climate Control Systems These systems regulate temperature, humidity, CO₂ levels, and ventilation to create an optimal growing environment. Advanced climate control systems use real-time sensors and automation to adjust conditions dynamically. Fertigation Systems Fertigation combines irrigation and fertilisation, deliver...

Types of Valves Used In Plumbing Systems

A wide range of valves is used by plumbing systems for connecting pipes and controlling the water flow. For regulating the temperature and flow in plumbing and piping fixtures, water valves are extremely important. The valves can be made of a wide range of materials like plastic, brass, bronze, stainless steel, galvanized pipe, and cast iron. In this blog, we will be talking about the various types of plumbing valves which you can find commonly in your house. Gate Valves Plumbing Gate Valves ar e undoubtedly the most famous and widely used valves in any plumbing system. These valves come with an internal gate that is lowered or raised for controlling the flow of water to the other side. These valves are having a knob on the top that is used for controlling the movement of the gate. The gate valves can get damaged easily if the gates are not entirely closed or opened as the flow of water can wear out the metal parts. Butterfly Valve Plumbing Ball Valves a re used for all...
